Amish Country United Director of Operations Braden Mast announced today that the club will have a women's team for the inaugural season of the Women's Northern Ohio Soccer League (WNOSL)
. The WNOSL is a branch of the existing men's league, the Northern Ohio Soccer League, and will begin play in May of 2020. Announced earlier today, the WNOSL has accepted ACU as the first team in the league, which will start play with four teams.
"We are very excited to finally field a women's Amish Country United team," Mast said after it was announced the club had joined the WNOSL. "We have wanted a women's team for a couple years now and with the formation of the WNOSL, we have a very good reason to go through with creating one."
The team has already begun recruiting players and have several commits to the new project.
