BERLIN, Ohio. - Amish Country United is pleased to announce that Matt Falkenberg has joined the club. The forward joins ACU after spending three years with FC Accipter and Team Vulpine.
Falkenberg started his NOSL career with FC Accipiter in 2019 and has spent the last two seasons playing for Team Vulpine. Falkenberg has proven that he can perform in the NOSL, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in the NOSL over the past three seasons. The speedy man from Moreland, Ohio can operate as a winger or center forward and will bolster ACU's attack in the 2023 season. A Triway High School graduate, Falkenberg played two seasons at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He will join former FC Accipiter teammates Logan Schrock and Jaden Boucher at his new club. The trio won the NOSL together back in 2019.
"We are so excited to have Matt join the team," said ACU Director of Operations Braden Mast. "He is a quality player who has proved that he can create goals in the NOSL. He's a great guy and will be a great addition to the team."
If you have followed ACU closely in the past few years, you will know that Falkenberg has scored a few times against the Amish, and that is one of the reasons Mast is excited to see him in ACU colors going forward. "It will be nice to have him scoring for us now, and not against us," he joked.
